A really useful application tool for English language learners, language teachers, linguists and those interested in pronunciation and phonetics.
This application allows users to hear and learn the sounds and symbols of english Received Pronunciation 'RP' as defined by the International Phonetic Alphabet.
The sounds are laid out, grouped into vowels, consonants and diphthongs, the user simply presses the symbol to hear the sound.
In this way the user learns the phonetic alphabet and improves both their own pronunciation by hearing clear models of all the sounds used in spoken English, can understand and use the phonetic symbols found in dictionaries, language learning books and language courses and also can have a reference tool to use at any time when they are uncertain about how a word is pronounced.
